The next Magic the Gathering release is creeping up on us from the shadows of history, and it’s called Universes Beyond: Assassin’s Creed!
That’s right. The next Universe to crossover and explore is the history-spanning, cloak-and-dagger world of Assassin’s Creed. With a franchise of video games dating back to 2007, the world of Assassin’s Creed traverses a wide variety of interesting places and times throughout the history of the world. From the ancient cities of Greece to more modern settings of the American Revolution and Victorian England, the amount of inspiration that Assassin’s Creed offers the designers of Magic: the Gathering is simply massive.
Universes Beyond: Assassin’s Creed comes with a variety of products, many of which you’ll be familiar with like Bundles and Boxes, and some new products (read more below!) It’s now available right now at Owl Central Games.
Cards from this set will be legal in some, but not all formats. Much like the Lord of the Rings set, these cards will be legal in Modern, Legacy, and Commander, but not Pioneer or Standard.
The release of Universes Beyond: Assassin’s Creed will also be extremely unique in the history of Magic: the Gathering. This release introduces a brand new type of Booster pack; Beyond Boosters.
