Owl Central Games is excited to host our second Regional Championship Qualifier for Season Three Round 2! This RCQ event will feature a $1,000 prize pool and most importantly, both finalists of this event will qualify for Season Three, Round 2’s Regional Championship!
This special event will take place on Saturday, September 14th and the tournament format will be Modern.
***This is a Competitive Rules Enforcement Level event and will require the submission of decklists. MTG Melee will be the software used to administer the event. You must pay for your registration to guarantee your spot. You may pay through MTG Melee or avoid processing fees by paying directly on our website. When paying on our website, please make sure to provide your MTG Melee account Email so that we can enroll you into the MTG Melee Tournament. Decklists may be submitted through MTG Melee in advance, or submitted by paper at the Game Center. Online decklists through MTG Melee HIGHLY encouraged.***
Entry Fee: $35
Player Cap: 60
Doors open: 10am
Registration and Player Check-in Ends: 10:55 am
Tournament Begins: 11:00 am
***Players that fail to check in before registration closes at 10:55am may still play in the event with a Round 1 loss. Avoid this by making sure that you are enrolled and checked-in in the MTG Melee tournament by providing us your MTG Melee Account Email. This will be strictly enforced to ensure the tournament begins on time. There will be no refunds for players who pre-pay but fail to check-in on time.***
Players will compete in Swiss paired rounds with a cut to Top 8 to determine prizes.
The Prize Pool for Top 8 is a guaranteed $1,000 in store credit.
Top 8 prizing will be as follows
1st Place – $400 + SCG Regional Championship Season 5 Qualification + Foil Supreme Verdict
2nd Place – $200 + SCG Regional Championship Season 5 Qualification + Foil Supreme Verdict Promo
3rd/4th Place – $100 + Non-Foil Supreme Verdict Promo
5th-8th Place – $50 + Non-Foil Supreme Verdict Promo
All players will receive Sleight of Hand promo for participating!
All prizes are listed in store credit which can be spent at our Game Center and at www.owlcentralgames.com. Players may take a cash option for 75% of the store credit value won.
