This past Saturday was our first Regional Championship Qualifier for Season 3, Round 1. This is our first major Pioneer tournament of 2024. This RCQ was a Competitive Pioneer constructed tournament with the finalists both qualifying for the Regional Championship this Fall in Washington, D.C.

This was a well attended 2-slotter, with qualifications being won by Gary Tam and Ryan Potter. Gary is a great representative of Competitive Magic in Central PA and attends some of Owl Central Games’ most Premier events. Ryan is also no slouch, and can be considered more of an Owl Central regular, Top 8’ing many RCQs, Store Championships, and other Premier Events hosted at our Game Center. Congrats to both for qualifying!

Gary placed first playing Izzet Ensoul, while Ryan piloted Amalia Combo to the other qualifying slot. Check out their decklists below and what else made the Top 8 of our debut RCQ of the season.
