Format: Battle for Baldur’s Gate Commander Draft
Event Structure:
We are very excited to be doing a Commander Draft for Black Friday Weekend!
This event will be a Battle for Baldur’s Gate Commander Draft. Never drafted before? That’s no problem! When you draft for commander, players will each be given 3 packs and sit in a “pod” of around 4 to 10 players (preferably 8). Players will each open 1 of their packs and choose 2 cards from it to add to their pool of cards with which they will make their deck after drafting. After choosing 2 cards they will pass the pack to their left, and then receive a pack from the player to their right. They will then take 2 cards from this pack, and then pass it to the left, repeating this process until there are no longer cards to take from the pack. Players will then do a similar process for pack 2 and 3, but will pass to the right for pack 2 rather than the left. After drafting players will construct a 60 card deck (which can include multiples of the same card) including their commander, and then play a commander game! Players who need a commander can use The Prismatic Piper as their commander, background, or both!
Players will be split into pods based on attendance. Players will have approximately 50 minutes to draft and build their decks. After that, players will play a game of commander!
Prizing:
Every player will be getting an additional Draft Booster of Battle for Baldur’s Gate, but the player who caused their opponents to lose the most life will get 2 additional Draft Booster’s, and the player in second will get 1 additional Draft Booster!
