Event Structure:
Join us for our first ever Magma Chamber event! Magma Chamber is a 2v2 team format for Riftbound. Players will sign up as a team and can coordinate decks well in advance. Teammates may not play the same Legends but are free to play the same Rune colors and may each play up to 3 copies of the same card.
This tournament will have a number of rounds determined by the number of teams (9+ teams will play 4 rounds, otherwise there will be 3 rounds.) Each round will be a best of one with overtime rules as normal.
Teams will sit with a member of each team on opposite sides of the table. Teams will alternate taking turns (i.e. Team A Player 1, Team B Player 1, Team A Player 2, Team B Player 2, and so forth). Players may not reveal their hands or other hidden information to their teammates unless instructed to do so by an action in the game. Teammates may communicate any information they want verbally.
Magma Chamber games are played across 3 Battlefields with the winner being the first to reach 11 points. Each player contributes one battlefield for the game. One battlefield will be chosen at random, with that battlefield being discarded and that player going first. The player that goes first does NOT draw on their first turn. The player that goes fourth/last in turn order is the only player that receives 1 additional rune on their first channel phase.

Prizing:
Players will receive prizing based on their number of wins at the end of the tournament. For each win, each PLAYER will receive 3 booster packs of Unleashed. Any player who hasn’t tallied any wins will also receive 3 booster packs of Unleashed just for playing.
