This past weekend was our first ever Summoner Skirmish, handing out our first ever Regional Qualifier Bye alongside some sick promos and of course a thousand dollars in store credit. We loved not only having many members of our weekly Monday Nexus Nights, but other competitors traveling in from around the region.
Coming off of last week’s Houston Regional Qualifier, Annie was certainly at the top of many players’ minds. However, when it came time to lock down a deck for the tournament, players had a much wider opinion of what deck was going to take the field by storm.
In the end, our top cut featured Viktor, Yasuo, and both of our Teemo players! If Teemo’s 100% conversion rate wasn’t enough, he also locked down the top spot after a Teemo mirror match in the finals lead to our very first Summoner Skirmish Champion, Abel!
Abel’s victory was without doubt as he didn’t lose a match the entire day. Much like his Chosen Champion, this tournament was very much GG EZ for the multi-card game aficionado!
